Moby Dick: Epic novel about a white man with a extremely large extremity that caused him pain and suffering and I think he is eaten by a whale, ending his long tragic life. Kidding! Moby Dick is a novel from the Romantism era written by American author Herman Melvile, debuted in Matilda as her favorite book. It is considered by many to be the "great american novel" I beg to differ, everyone knows Twilight is the "great american/mormon novel" (sarcasm).
WWI ended: World War I ended and WWII started, not really but pretty much. WWI ended, leaving the alliance between the British, French, Russians, and Americans victorious allowing them to screw their opponents into the ground. Germany was hit the hardest in the "peace" Treaty of Versailles and was blamed completely for the war. Although, Germany played a huge roll in causing WWI, such as the Moroccan crisis and instigating the whole Serbia vs Austria-hungry thing after singer Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, it was way harsh Tai; they just wanted a vacation home in Africa too. I mean come on, they lost their rights to land and an army and had to pay crippling war reparations that sent Germany into poverty. Through this angst from WWI, poverty, and general annoyance at European super-powers the doors were opened for a art-school drop-out and crazed lunatic with the gift of rhetoric to unhinge Europe and cause WWII and some of the worst atrocities of the 20th century.
