Red Velvet

Last night my mother made red velvet cake and five cupcakes with the leftover cake batter.  As I returned home from hot yoga with my friend, dripping in sweat, I noticed the highlighter red/pink cupcakes immediately and had to take a picture.  Since my mother is the #1 reader of my blog she was more than happy to participate, until we all started making fun of the pinky red color that reminded us of jello cups.  After having a good laugh over the color and my brother exclaiming she used lambs blood to create the hue we backed off and enjoyed some red wine and meat loaf. JOY
