Best of 2013

Since it's the new year and 2013 was a great one, I thought I owed 2013 a bit of a tribute.  I thought I would share some of my favorite whos and what's with all ya'll.  I would say I am a bit of a book worm and a cvs-aholic.  Therefore, I thought I would share some of my best buys and best books of 2013.

Here are my best beauty finds of 2013...

1.) Batiste Dry Shampoo (best Dry shampoo out there and I have tried them all, you can get it in color to hide roots)
2.) Pure Grace Body lotion (Been a huge fan of this since college, do yourself a favor and pick some up)
3.) Jo Malone Wild Fig and Cassis Cologne
4.) Fresh Cannabis Santal eau de parfum
4.) Best Beauty Find of 2013: ESSENTIAL OILS (these have become a staple for me, I like Rose hip seed oil for my face at night and jojoba oil as a body moisturizer)
5.) Nars orgasm illuminator (this is another oldy but goody, buy this)
6.) Benefit Brow Kit (2013 was the year of the brow; big black bushy brows ...cue Cara Delevingnes rise to fame, this kit is a gel and color to fill in and define your brows)
7.) CeraVe facial Foaming cleanser (this gentile cleanser really cleans with a good lather without leaving your face feeling dry)
8.) European Wax Ingrown hair serum ( European wax just made its way to upstate new york and into my heart, I am a huge fan of their whole system and any person with sensitive skin will love this product)
9.) Burts Bees Senative Eye Cream
10.) Clarsonic ( I have had my clarsonic for over three years and I highly recommend it)

Best Books of 2013

I read a lot of books, mostly in summer, so I thought I would list a couple great books of 2013...

Fiction:
The Lowland
Where'd you go Bernadette (funny)
The Book of Salt
We are Water Favorite book or 2013 by my favorite author Wally Lamb
Exploring Diabetes with Owls (funny)
Extraordinary Theory of Objects: An outsider in Paris (memoir)
Heart of the Sea (historical fiction)
Wild: Lost and Found on the PCT (memoir)
The Night Circus
Beautiful Ruins
The Paris Wife

Nonfictin:
The Moral Animal
The Defining Decade ( A MUST READ all about the importance of your 20's)

Poetry:
1000 mornings by Mary Oliver

Other notable discoveries of 2013
Smoked sea salt:  this culinary find was definitely a favorite (even over kale) in 2013.  Marshalls sells a lot of fancy salt and I would recommend picking some up and putting it on everything.

Overall 2013 was a great year heres to many more!
